Description

Project Manager with 10+ years of experience in electrical construction to lead and oversee the successful execution of electrical projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex projects from inception to completion while ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality standards.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Coordination:
    • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
    • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Identify and resolve project challenges promptly.
  • Budget & Cost Management:
    • Monitor project budgets and forecasts.
    • Review and approve vendor and subcontractor invoices.
    • Track project profitability and ensure cost control measures are in place.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and motivate project teams, including electricians and foremen, to achieve project goals.
    • Conduct regular meetings to provide updates and address issues.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance:
    • Ensure all projects meet contractual requirements, and company quality standards and adhere to safety regulations.
    • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and industry standards.
  • Client Relations:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Address client concerns promptly and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
    • Prepare project progress reports for stakeholders.
    • Maintain detailed records, including contracts, change orders, and project documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years in project management within electrical construction.
    • Experience managing commercial, industrial, and residential electrical projects.

 

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, OSHA) are a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction methodologies.
    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods.
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
    • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and technical documents.
    • Ability to communicate effectively (written, verbal and nonverbal)
    • Requires self-motivation, organization, and prioritization management
    • Proficient knowledge of OSHA standards and guidelines

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb; lifts and carry up to 60 lbs, crawl, kneel, push and reach; use hands to fingers, handle, and feel.

Work Environment:

In performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.
